Do you have a green thumb? Sometimes I do…and sometimes I don’t. It depends on the plant, the time of year, the weather and…honestly…where I bought the plant! And I’ll go ahead and admit that my extensive list of factors governing whether or not my green thumb will show itself basically means that I have no green thumb at all. But don’t tell my kids. They think that since our Calla Lily comes back over and over that I’m a gardening GURU! The adoration will stop soon as they are soon to be teenagers and I’d like to enjoy it while I can.
Jan took the Green Thumb discussion and put it down on paper (12×12 paper, that is). This is Jan’s Green Thumb 12×12 Layout:
Is her layering not just AMAZING? She used a variety of elements from the Little Black Dress Kit Club February Kit: Patterns of Class. Some of the products included here are: the Studio Calico Notions Vintage Pattern Flowers, vintage buttons, Studio Calico birdie rubons, yellow/white stripe trim, GCD Studios butterfly paper, K&Company Handmade Woodgrain Alpha Adhesive Chipboard, tickets, vintage chic journaling cards, etc.
What’s my favorite aspect of this layout? I LOVE the circle background. The pinwheel-look edge is amazing. If you look closely you’ll see that Jan stitched along the edges of both the GCD Studios paper and the pinwheel circle background piece. And it’s a great addition that adds the perfect finishing touch.
More amazing projects from Jan and other LBD Design team members…coming soon!
