In June, a few of the Little Black Dress Kit Club Design Team Members had a bit of extra fun. In addition to the layouts and cards and projects they’re always creating, Valerie and Ginny, put together projects (the infamous 12×12 layout) solving the June “case file” at C.S.I. (Color…Stories…Inspiration…) If you haven’t checked out their fun and unique method of inspiring designers and scrappers everywhere, you really must visit and get all the details. It’s a great project and we were so happy we got to sponsor the site in June. Ginny and Valerie (and the other regular designers at C.S.I.) were given a very detailed challenge. This week’s challenge (referred to as Case File No. 22) included a “scene,” a color scheme, a list of “evidence” and another list of pieces of “testimony.” The point is to “solve” the case using the pieces you are given. It seems like a lot of fun and a fantastic way of setting up a sketch that will inspire while giving designers a lot of freedom to do their own “thang!” Valerie and Ginny had a bit of an extra “challenge” because they were focusing on using elements of this month’s scrapbook kit: June’s Less Work More Play kit. They did a fabulous job! You’ll love the end results.
