January was a fabulous month for scrapbookers everywhere, I’m sure. But I know for sure that it was a great month for new and exciting projects from the LBD Kit Club Design Team members. How do I know? Because I picked through all the gorgeous-ness and chose several to feature here on the blog. Alas…the January project posts were all lost when the info was transferred over to the new site/blog. Little Black Dress kit club members everywhere mourned, I’m sure. All that gorgeous inspiration from the designers (and all that inane chatter from me)…lost forever in the far reaches of digital space. That is depressing and sad and…not true.

We couldn’t stand to start posting February kit info and projects until we were able to re-share all the fabulous projects from January. January projects posted to the LBD Kit Club Facebook page are still accessible, but those that were posted here on the LBD Kit Club blog…are being reposted today. Are you ready for this? (Does that give anyone else flashbacks of high school cheerleading half time performances? Or is it just me?)

January Naughty Romance Kit from Little Black Dress Kit Club Design Team Projects

I don’t know about you…but my kids are yet to make their first transatlantic phone call. I await the day. Now that I’ve seen Francine’s 12×12 layout commemorating the event I’ll know exactly what to do so that I never forget the moment!

What an adorable little guy! I love Francine’s layouts and I love how adorable her pictures always are. If you’re looking for more Francine…check the LBD Facebook page and scroll back through the blog. She’s been on the team for a while and has submitted many amazing projects!

Francine’s Outside 12×12 layout:

Some of my favorites elements on this layout: The use of handwritten journaling on paper strips so that the journaling is a part of the layering on the page. The cut out quote and use in the circular application.

Francine’s Awesome 12×12 Layout:

I don’t know about you, but now that I’ve seen this layout of Francine’s AWESOME little guy…I don’t think I’ve ever actually been to the corner of awesome and bomdiggity. I have my work cut out for me.

Now that Francine has left us at the corner of awesome & bomdiggity…we’re in a great spot to check out more January projects from other designers. Next up is Valerie O’Neal.

Valerie’s Easter 12×12 Layout:

There isn’t anything about this layout that I don’t absolutely adore. The colors, the combination of circle and circle stars, the distressing with white paint throughout, the stitching, the stapled on typed journaling…it’s fabulous!

Check out that awesome journaling along the bottom of the layout. Impressive, isn’t it? I also love the way Valerie so carefully places her photos with such focus on size, shape and layout. It makes a big impact.

Tina’s Fly 12×12 layout:

Give me wings…and I shall fly! I love that sentiment. I think I need wings. I’m pretty sure that I’d be really fantastic at flying.

Things I love about this 12×12 layout: I love the empty space. It adds a lot to the page sometimes just to see the space that is left untouched on the layout. I love the hexagon cutouts and the use of the scalloped paper corners at the corners of the photos. I love the size of the photos and that they have the white edging left after trimming. And I love the Tina added the pink heart to the middle of the wings. Such a fantastic layout!
