Lucky Penny Kit Projects – August 2012

Who doesn’t love Glee? It makes me gleeful and frankly, it makes me want to sing. Apparently, I’m not the only one. And Suz got these guys’ “first performance” Glee style memorialized on paper. Glee performances should always be given the proper deference, but the FIRST performance should be given a bit of extra attention. Hope it was fabulous!

I have to say it…I LOVE all that red! My favorite aspect of this page? The quotation bubble. It makes me smile! I also love the variety of patterns (all red) with the tiny pop of navy in the bottom right corner. I also love the star cutouts (from book pages).

I wish I could have everything just so. But alas…life would be completely boring if that were always the case. Luckily, there are bits and pieces here and there that give us a glimpse of the “just so” that dreams are made of. Check out this just so moment from Keri Babbitt, one of the Little Black Dress Kit Club design team members.

I think I might love this moment, too. Who wouldn’t? It’s a gorgeous little lady in an amazing little sundress with someone who loves her enough to surround her forever more with flowers arranged “just so!”

What else do we love about this layout besides the fact that it’s one of those just so moments you can’t help but smile about? All those layers cut out flowers that make it look like little lady is walking amongst a garden, the combination of bright colors with the yellow polka background and the red stitching…love that zig zag border!

Jenni’s Simply Wonderful 12×12 Layout was put together using the Little Black Dress Kit Club scrapbook kit from August 2012. It’s called the Lucky Penny kit:

I love the teal banner sticking out from the bottom of the layering and providing a spot for journaling. I adore all the stitching. And you simply can’t not notice how wonderful all the detailed cutting has made the layering that adds a little something special to the finished page.

Never forget to check out the closeups of any scrapbook page you love…you might find something you missed that makes all the difference.

In this closeup you’ll notice the “love you” cutout, the various layers created using different diecuts and patterned papers from the Lucky Penny scrapbook kit, the stitching and the wooden people embellishments included in this month’s kit.

Here you get an eyeful of the brightly colored flowers that Jenni used along the left top of the photo. You see some of the titles she incorporated and you can’t help but notice the fun Glitz Design rhinestone (pulled from this month’s kit as well) and the use of the felt bow paper clip.

Ginny Hughes put together the perfect layout of the PERFECT day this month using the Lucky Penny scrapbook kit. It’s not very often that any of us can claim perfection, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t always keep an eye out for it and now and then..we actually get a perfect moment. And very rarely…a perfect DAY! Here’s one of Ginny’s perfect days.

Pull out your August 2012 scrapbook kit from Little Black Dress Kit Club and put together a layout of YOUR perfect day. (The most recent one, that is, since I’m sure you’ve had many over the course of a lifetime).

Things I love about this page: the cloud cut outs from cloud patterned paper, the combination of colors in the title alphas, the arrows pointing down at the title from the clouds above, the combination of wild and beautiful colors on the left of the photo. It’s a “perfect” set up for the photo Ginny chose to feature on the page.

Such an adorable picture! I love the entire layout, Ginny. Thanks so much for sharing.
