August Project Ideas from LBD Design Team Member, Jan:
Most of the time when Jan’s projects come in…I am just amazed at the detail. I usually have to zoom in to her pictures and study the details for a minute to truly appreciate all that is going on. And her August projects are no less gorgeous than normal. I hope you agree!
This is not only a fabulous layout, but it’s just extra special and needs to be mentioned that it is commemorating the “last” of a 5 month long chemo treatment that Jan has been going through and all the while she’s been sending in gorgeous layouts and projects. So here’s us officially saying, “Congratulations, Jan! We hope completing the ‘last one’ felt absolutely amazing!”
This is a fabulous layout for a classic scrapbooking topic: a trip. It doesn’t matter if it’s a week long vacation or a day trip. Sometimes they just need to be documented in an utterly fabulous fashion. And that’s something that Jan does very well.
For those of you who love double layouts you’re in luck! I love the precision she shows in placing the photos as well as making the most of her embellishments. I also love the way she used the sequin strip on this page, giving the very classic page a flashy aspect. Check out the way she trimmed the edges of her sequin strip to change the look.
In Our First Apartment 12×12 Layout Jan used tons of paints and colors. And it had an amazing end result. The combo of corrugated cardboard and houndstooth tissue paper is excellent. It’s a great pairing of opposites that can really be appreciated on this page.
In pure Jan style this page is so amazing that you can’t even see all the detail without zooming in and studying it for a few minutes. The background plum page really accents the lighter colors used on the rest of the layout. We particularly love the journaling on the vintage jewelry receipt included in her August kit.
This gorgeous altered art from Jan was dubbed the Life is Nice watering can for obvious reasons. And I have to say when I’m looking at it…Life IS nice. I hope you agree. And check out the closeup of the paper flowers that Jan seems to specialize in!
If you don’t find Jan’s flowers amazing then you are not seeing them accurately. I suggest you zoom in.
Because they are absolutely amazing! Watch for more of Jan’s amazing projects in upcoming posts!
